"Hooker" (Hooker)

Not sure of all of its specs but the man I spoke to who built it was pretty awesome. Ford body and other bits, Chevrolet motor. It was beautiful and it was loud.
I bought a new car. Again. Because almost 7K off allows me to do so. Same car (1 model year newer) same color, but now with sunroof and Pioneer system! Side note on the Pioneer system, it’s a good thing I didn’t really pay for it because it’s bass heavy and really not worth the upgrade. I usually bump up the bass and treble on the base system and it gives me a well rounded sound. This system, treble goes up a bit but bass goes WAY down. Even then, it still thumps and vibrates the car. Not impressed. The Pioneer system in my HHR was WAY better and more balanced. The base system in my mom’s Equinox is nicer than this in the Cruze.
LOOK! Hole in the roof!
I don’t know why I am including this pic. I just liked it.

Sadly they don’t offer the 1.6T here in USA. It’s an Auto because of physical limitations. But I love it. I like the 1LT Cruze. It’s comfortable, quiet and handles reasonably. I think it strikes a good balance without being Corolla boring to drive. Although, I wouldn’t turn down a Mazda 3 if I didn’t work at a Chevy dealership.

as a GM dealer employee myself , what do you think of Globalconnect overall and EPC?

Globalconnect, when it works, is actually a great resource. When it works. The outages and issues that arise often are troublesome and hinder overall productivity. They seem pretty keen on continually updating it with newer and better versions and it seems like they are actually listening to the end user when making updates.
EPC? I don’t use it much. Mostly, I’m the guy who updates it for the parts department. It’s seemingly OK, though I am encouraged that it looks like it will be moving to a continually updating system instead of discs. The discs take forever and require off business hours installation. It’s a pain. As for the software itself, the parts guy here is not a computer guy. At all. He seems to do well wth it.
